The Macina Eight XL from KTM is designed with the heavier rider in mind. It is one of the most comfortable electric bikes on the market. Packed with features, it provides the rider with serious enjoyment for touring, but is equally at home on the roads for short journeys to the shops.
Most electric bikes generally have a top weight limit for the rider of around 18 stone, give or take. The Macina Eight XL is made with greater resilience and a tougher frame to accept heavier riders. Tolerance is increased to 150kg, whjich is just over 23 stone in weight.
Powered by a high torque Bosch Performance motor, this ebike is capable of climbing the most challenging of hills. Coupled with a huge 500Wh battery, the Macina Eight XL ensures long and lazy day trips without the fear of running out of juice. Its simple and easy to read Intuvia unit sits centrally and unobtrusively on the handlebars. All rider information is at hand. Battery level, assistance level, odometer, range, trip, and more come as standard features. Equipped with ultra responsive Magura HS 11 hydraulic rim brakes, stopping power is effective and reliable at all times. Geared by the silent Nexus 8 hub, the Macina Eight XL changes sweetly and effortlessly via a simple twist grip shifter. The superb build quality evident on all KTM electric bikes is obviously there. The 500Wh battery provides huge range as standard. Ultra comfort, safety and reliable performance is what the XL is all about.
Schwalbe Marathon Plus puncture resistant tyres on the XL are invaluable. They provide one of the highest level of resilience against punctures with a thick inner layer of protection. A Selle Royal Viaggio City saddle and adjustable handlebars ensure comfort and the perfect fit. Fully kitted with mudguards, rear carrier and Lumotec lights front and rear ensure a safe and highly enjoyable ride every time.| Motor |
